The Lebanese Communist Party Calls for Preparation to Resist the Netanyahu-Obama Project

Once again, Leaders of the Zionist enemy push the Arab world to the brink of disaster while none of the Arab rulers lift a finger in response.
Once again, Benjamin Netanyahu, holder of dual American and Israeli nationalities, challenges the Arab people, and the Palestinian people in particular, thereby reasserting in a brutal and apartheid manner that Israel shall remain the final state for the Jews of the world; and that Arab Jerusalem will be unified under the Zionist banner to become the capital of the Zionist State; and that there is no right-of-return for Palestinian refugees; and that new settlements will not be dismantled but on the contrary the Israeli government will provide all possible support to the new settlers.
We certainly were not surprised with the content of the Netanyahu Speech in Bar Ilan, one week ago, as it constituted the logical and expected continuation to the position declared by the Israeli Foreign Minister, Avigdor Liberman. Indeed, this position was reinforced by the speech of the president of the United States, where he called upon the Arabs to acknowledge the right of Jews in the rape and pillage of the Palestinian homeland. We were however angered (even if not surprised) with the Arab rulers, whether in Palestine or throughout the Arab world, who simply condemned these statements without even trying to issues an emergency session for the foreign ministers of Arab countries let alone holding an emergency Arab summit.
This is certainly not the first time in recent history where Arab rulers, whether from within the formal Arab regime or lying outside of it, forsake and abandon their duties thereby leaving the initiative to the Zionists, and to the United States in the background. Then when sufficient time has passed, and it is too late, they weep for what has been lost.
The content of the Netanyahu speech, and before it the Obama speech, is indeed very dangerous. It paves the way for new massacres against the Palestinian people, while we have not yet forgotten the latest massacre in Gaza, which Netanyahu considers to be part of Judaea land. The renewed talk about the alternative to transfer to Lebanon and Jordan is not a secret since it came to light in 2003. What has been written and published in the United States, reasserts that plans are underway for a new wave of forced immigration and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people not only from Gaza and the West Bank but also from those Palestinians living in the original Palestinian lands of 1948. Indeed this has also been stated by the Neo Conservatives, who are allied with the most extreme of Zionists, and who are currently represented in the current Obama American administration to the same extent that they were at the time of George Bush Junior.
This is the Jewish state currently being discussed between Washington and Tel Aviv. It is the pure, religious, racist, state which will be formed by further injustices and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinian people and their just cause. In this context, it must be recognized that Jews never constituted one nation or one ethnicity, and this is not the real reason for the support that Israel is receiving from the United States. On the contrary, Israel is a state that is being prepared to play a major role in the re-launching of the project for the New Middle East, which is based on the dismantling and division of the Arab world into small religious, sectarian states squabbling and fighting amongst themselves while all being controlled and under the sphere of influence of the United States and Israel. Israel constitutes the state which acts as the launching pad for regaining complete American control over all Arab countries and natural resources; thereby controlling this strategic position which facilitates the control of the adjacent seas and through that the global trade routes for oil and gas.
The revamped American project, which had been foiled by the Intifada of the Palestinian people, and subsequently by the heroic resistance of the Lebanese people in July 2006, constitutes a renewed danger and threat to the Arab people in terms of their natural resources, their security and their independence. It constitutes a threat to the existence and rights of the Palestinian people. It also constitutes a threat to the Lebanese people which may be the subject of a new Israeli aggression or may have to bear the burden of new waves of immigration from Palestine or may have to bear the pressure of the permanent settlement of the current hundreds of thousands of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Resisting this project requires the massing of efforts, tools and abilities for a full popular resistance and requires mobilising international support for such a resistance.
Therefore, the political bureau of the Lebanese Communist Party calls on all progressive, leftists and Arab communist, and calls on all those resisting, to accept their responsibility of massing these required efforts and to be prepared to foil this renewed American project. It also calls on all to struggle against the continuous downhill slide of the Arab regimes in the process of normalization of relationships with the Zionist enemy through: first imposing a break in diplomatic and trade relationships with Israel and secondly by struggling to push the Arab regimes to review their relationships with the United States specifically revisiting the petroleum, trade and military agreements they have signed with the US.
The party also calls upon the Workers and Communist parties throughout the world to mobilize promptly within their own countries in support of the Palestinian people and in support of the Arab people in their resistance of the Zionist war machine and their resistance to the revamped American project.
