The Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain (PCPE) and the Collectives of Young Communists (CJC) participated on Saturday January 30 at a concentration at the Czech embassy in Madrid to protest the threat of banning the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia.

During the event, in which about 100 people participated, slogans were chanted against the anti-communist campaign waged by the European institutions, the threats to the PCBM and the constant attacks against the labour and popular movement at this moment of capitalist crisis.

The PCPE welcomes the presence in the event of the organizations UniĆ³n Proletaria and Iniciativa Comunista, who responded to the call of PCPE to perform a joint action. At the same time, we regret the absence of other organizations (integrated into the European Left Party) who did not respond to the call even though the attack against the Czech Communists is an attack against all Communists in all countries.

The event ended with the reading of the petition of solidarity from PCBM.

The PCPE and CJC will continue working to achieve the greatest possible unity for the organized response to anti-communist attacks unleashed by the oligarchy in Europe.
