On June 8 in Poland the previously approved law that bans communist symbols is coming into force. The use of the labor movement traditional symbols - a sickle, hammer and red star, - will be forbidden.

In Poland anticommunism has been integrated into the state policy. Similar laws were passed only by the Nazis during World War II and the fascist dictatorships in Spain, Greece and Portugal.

It would seem that the times of obscurantism are over. However, Polish authorities continue the witch-hunt manifesting cave-anticommunism. The use of the symbols of struggle against fascism, for social justice and democracy is liable to fines and up to two years of prison.

In the year of the 65th anniversary of the Victory over fascism the Polish government offered all honest people of the world "a present" borrowed from the arsenals of those, who brought the Polish people so much grief and sufferings.

We express our strong protest in connection with the violation of basic civil and political rights, the observance of which is stipulated by the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the European Convention on Human Rights.

We express our solidarity and support to the Polish communists and anti-fascists and declare our willingness to fight together against anticommunism in all its forms and manifestations.

For us, the Russian communists, permanent anti-Soviet and anti-Russian insults of Polish politicians are unacceptable. Their cynicism knows no measure. Just consider their idea to co-celebrate under the banner of joint struggle against totalitarianism the 90th anniversary the tragic events near Warsaw, after which in Polish jails about 30,000 Red Army soldiers were murdered!

The Polish authorities should bear in mind that anticommunism is doomed to failure.
