Canada’s Leading Role in the US-NATO War on Libya Canadians for Peace & Socialism Box 168 Slocan BC V0G 2C0 Canada 1 250 355 2669 Dear Friends Today’s Edmonton Journal, situated in the provincial capital of the Province of Alberta Canada, carries two articles by David Pugliese of the Ottawa Citizen exposing many truths about Canadian Government complicity in the NATO overthrow of the Moammar Gadhafi government of Libya and its tragic aftermath. A Canadian general led the NATO assault on Libya. Canadian corporations, Suncor and SNC Lavalin were active players. The articles reveal how foreign intervention by NATO with the full support of Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s Conservative government and the corporate interests he fronts, including some high tech armament suppliers, interfered in Libyan internal affairs and turned a civil war into a G7 NATO regime change war. UN Resolution 1973 was the pretext. Regime change the goal. The same scenario is being followed now at Ottawa, Washington, Tel Aviv, London, Paris, Ankara and the compliant NATO capitals of the EU to plan the destruction of Syria and Iran, carrying with it the danger of a full scale regional war and the use of nuclear weapons. David Pugliese may be the only main stream journalist left in Canada that has the courage to tell the truth.
