In
light of
Prime Minister Harper's statement to the the second annual
conference of the Inter-parliamentary Coalition for Combating
Anti-Semitism in Ottawa on November 9th 2010 where the PM said:
“On
behalf of the Government of Canada and all Canadians, I commend you
and support you in the great and important work that you are doing."
The
minority government of Canada does not speak for all Canadians. PM
Harper's claim does not accord to the majority opinion of Canadians for
peace. Prime Minister Harper speaks for the most reactionary
sections of Canadian finance, military and energy capital. Harper
appeals to the most reactionary forces of Tribute to Liberty,
Canadian Jewish Congress and the Canada-Israeli Committee.
This
Christmas Focus On Socialism, in response to the Prime Minister's
statement, is reprinting and posting articles bringing attention to and
reminding people of the criminal actions of Israeli aggression and
genocide against the Palestinian people two years ago during Christmas
2008-09 - the very actions that the Prime Minister claims Canadians
support.

CPS Statement on 12th International Meeting of
Communist and Workers Parties
November 28, 2010
Dear Comrades and Friends
The theme of the December 3-5th 12th
International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties (IMCWP) is “The
deepening systemic crisis of capitalism. The tasks of the Communists in
the defence of sovereignty, deepening social alliances, strengthening
the anti-imperialist front in the struggle for peace, progress and
socialism” sums up the objective reality of the present time and the
tasks of our international movement now and into the future.
The theme adopted by the IMCWP imposes on
every member and supporter of CPS and CPC without exception, the duty to
soberly consider its meaning for our country.
If such analytical work is undertaken
unconditionally and with vigour it can be a decisive step forward for
the Communist Party of Canada and all of the progressive forces that
provide support thereby strengthening all of the movements of the
people.

FM Spokesman Warns US of Serious
Consequences of Worst Situation
A spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of
Foreign Affairs released the following statement on December 17,2010 as
regards the touch-and-go situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula
due to such projected military provocation of the south Korean puppet
forces as planning to conduct again shelling from Yonphyong Island under
the instigation of the U.S.:
Lurking behind the plan of the U.S. and
the south Korean puppet forces to persistently conduct shelling from
Yonphyong Island, the most sensitive dispute-torn area, is a sinister
design to preserve the "northern limit line" and ignite a war at any
cost.
By origin, this line was an illegal
product as it was in violation of the Korean Armistice Agreement and all
military moves of the south Korean puppet forces to defend it are gross
violation of the AA.
